Our Story

The inspiration of sharing artisan canned wines from California to Hong Kong was not the original plan. Monica and Wei, founders of 38 Wine, so randomly stumble upon this interesting trend that has become a staple in the US - a great companion by the lake, or doing some solo drinking at home after a long day of work, or at the picnic table with friends. 

Canned wines are not a second thought anymore for some of these talented winemakers. Rest assured, looking for premium quality wine that just happened to be in a can is what we love to do. We personally meet with the winemakers to taste and learn more about their farming practices, winemaking philosophies, and their mission in making the wine world a bit more accessible. Our brands are certified/practicing organic, certified/practicing biodynamic, and some of them are even vegan friendly! Our goal is to work with good people with good practices in the vineyards and low intervention in the cellars - simply good, crushable wines that are unpretentious. 

The idea came about late 2019 but finally flourished in early 2022 when our first shipment landed in Hong Kong. We're excited to share what we have brought to Hong Kong from California and we hope you enjoy them responsibility.
